Winter Season in Color Analysis

The last season is my own, winter. 

If you're familiar with the seasonal color analysis, you may have heard that black can only be work by a winter. I think that's only partly true, because any color can be adjusted to the type. Generally speaking however, black is one color that flatters only a winter. 

The color pallette of this season is characterized by being cool and saturated. The colors are bold and striking. The features of a winter are higher contrast and a bit dramatic. You'll see a pale face with dark hair and almost immediately think of snow white and that's a perfect example of a winter face. 

Anne Hathaway is another example of a winter and blues are a great match for her.

The features can be bright or dark, but the boldness has to be there. In order to create harmony, the face must have similar qualities to the colors we're adding next to it. 

Some celebrities include Anne Hathaway. Megan Foxx and Salma Hayek. They all exhibit at least some level of intensity in color and features.

Salma Hayek doesn't have a very high contrast, but still has intense features. This and her cool skin tone makes her part of the winter palette.
