Summer Season in Color Analysis

The next season is my personal favorite - summer. The colors in this season are cool and muted, so no bright yellow!

Summer color types are often characterized by lighter and softer features. They may have light or dark skin color, but often the contrast is low, which is why muted colors are a better suit. Imagine a soft sunrise on the ocean in the morning, all the colors are muted and soft and it's a bit chilly. That's the vibe of summer in the seasonal color analysis. 

Soft, pastel colors characterize the summer season.

Often the summer client will have lighter eyes like blue or green, but the summer colors will also suite someone with brown eyes, hair and darker skin. The important thing is to have lower contrast. 

Some famous examples of this are Rihanna, Sabrina Carpenter and Emily Blunt. (very different women)

You can see Rihanna has darker features, except the eyes, but still, her overall contrast is low. She really looks good in pale purples and greens. 

Rihanna can rock cool pastels like a queen!

One thing to note is that pale colors will only look good on lower contrast people. I for example love pastel colors, but they wash me out immensely. 

Sabrina is a good example of light summer, and this mint color is a staple of the summer palette.
